Dare Adenuga

Biography


Dare Adenuga is a visual artist born in Lagos, Nigeria in 1982 to art-inclined parents who nurtured his talent helping him learn subconsciously from the likes of Pa Bruce Onabrakpeya, David Dale and many more. He studied Art at the Yaba College of Technology where he took part in various student exhibitions such as Beautiful Nigeria at the National Museum Onikan, Olokun Art festival in Badagary and UBAAfrica day. 2010, Marina, Lagos, before graduating in 2011; He has then been practicing as a full-time studio artist in his personal studio.


Dare's works cut across the humane traits of character with reference to the benevolent and malevolent influences on their environment. He has participated in several exhibitions and different art projects such as "The Root" at the national museum, Onikan, Prince Charles's royal visit to Nigeria at the British Council, "It’s not furniture” by the Temple management company, 2017, ARTXLAGOS/ARTXPRIZE finalist and many more.
