Somto Ezeani

Biography

Somtochukwu Ezeani is a freelance digital artist and graphic designer based in Lagos. His illustrations are an ode to the various marginalised groups in the society. Apart from this, he also views his art as a visual journal of his journey through life.

Somto has been featured in various online magazines and exhibitions including 29 Rooms by Refinery29, Spark by BusinessDay, Farabale, Black Queen Heaven and Art For Everyone BLM Exhibition among others.

He currently holds a Bachelor of Fine and Applied Arts from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and works as a graphic designer in a pan-African fintech startup.

Somto has been creating digital art for 6+ years with inspiration majorly pulling from the people he meets and the places he visits. He is highly intrigued by the unique features that make them beautiful and is often lucky to find a comic side to them and tries to carry this into his paintings.
